The UltaMid 4 Half Insert creates a barrier against bugs and moisture for two people inside the UltaMid 4 Shelter, so a restful night of sleep is more likely assured wherever home is for the night. Use the other side to protect and store all the gear on dry ground or our Ground Cloth if moisture is a concern. The Half Insert is also an excellent option for separating muddy gear from slightly cleaner sleep systems or clothes. UltaMid 4 Tent, Ultralight Stake Kit, and UltaMid Carbon Fiber Tent Pole sold separately.

Easy peasy tight and spacious

I love my new 1/2 insert. I’m hiking solo and didn’t want the extra bulk of the full insert with floor.

Set up is fast and the area inside is spacious! I love that all my gear will now be stowed inside the tent!

UltaMid 4 Half Insert vs the Full

Love the Ultamid Half Insert. I prefer it to the full insert (I have both) because the half insert can be modularly added or removed after the Ultamid is set up. The full insert requires too much planning for my taste, to set everything up in the exact sequence needed. The Half Insert also is modular to allow mounting in three different orientations with porch at the left of Ultamid entry, right or entry, or front. The Half Insert design just nails it--versatile with no complexity!

Everything is highest quality, really love this.

Earlier I had purchased one of the packs and had a small issue. I was unable at the time to contact anyone, when I finally managed to talk to someone Hyperlite went above and beyond in resolving the issue. All I needed was a new buckle, they went way above and beyond in making the situation right. Highly recommend these people! This insert and the ultamid 4 are of the highest quality, looks like they will hold up for a long time.
