If you’ve got a four-season trail habit, the Southwest 70 has the volume needed for cold weather gear, food and fuel for a week, or additional travel tools like a packraft. Ideal for weekend, section, or thru hikes where resupply points are less frequent and/or bulkier equipment is required.

      Awesome nearly perfect pack.

      For what I will be using the pack for (week long backpacking without resupply and mountaineering) this is awesome. Very well made and only missing the sternum strap and was a little dirty. My only 2 complaints are the shoulder straps (dug into my clavicle) and missing load lifting straps. So I modified my pack by replacing them with a vest style straps and problems solved. Took a bit of problem solving but now it is nearly perfect.
