When it comes to camping after sunset, this is gear you'd be lost without.

From oil-dipped torches to casting spells (results may vary), there are myriad ways we humans have figured out how to see in the dark. But, by the time the sun goes down and we need some illumination, we’re generally pretty tired, so we take the easy, effective, and reliable way out and grab this little 400 lumen, 56g wonder from Nitecore. It’s our favorite headlamp to date with a rugged design and great features–especially the lockout mode that prevents it from being turned on in your hip belt pockets or inside your pack. That alone makes this a staff favorite.
