Perfect for my need
The smallest pod fits perfectly in the top of my pack. I use it to keep my puffy and /or mid layer easily accessible on top of my pack but also dry.

I stand corrected
I never saw the point of the pods, yet Adventure Alan and Ryan Jordan of Backpacking Light were using them. Was I missing something? Yep, I did miss something and I stand corrected. Having all the kitchen stuff in one robust bag, all the food in another and the clothing in yet another was nothing short of a revelation. I have used the pods in two of my non-HMG packs and they fit really well. Yes, they are expensive, but I expect them to outlast my prior go-to silnylon bags by a long shot and they do a lot better in keeping my stuff dry in miserable weather as in the Pyrenees this summer (‘24).
