BEST PRACTICES
Individual comfort in the outdoors is affected by many varying factors.
- Fluff the bag, to decompress, and evenly disperse, the down every time you remove it from your stuff sack.
- Avoid leaving the bag compressed for extended periods.
- The QUILT is meant for three season use to provide insulating warmth and keep you comfortable when outside air temperatures are above 40°F (5°C).
- Protection from the elements and dry layers are essential for the QUILT to provide maximum protection from the cold.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Periodically check the stuff sack, quilt fabric, clips, and top drawstring area for signs of stress or tears and repair any damage before continued use.
The QUILT is a single-person sleeping bag designed for use under the cover of shelter.
The QUILT is NOT intended for the use of heat sources in or around the sleeping bag. This is not an emergency blanket. Avoid hazardous weather and terrain if possible before bringing this bag into the backcountry.
Use of this sleeping bag for purposes other than those listed here is not recommended by Hyperlite Mountain Gear and voids our Guarantee.
Nikwax Down Wash Direct has been specifically designed and optimized for down filled gear. It is a highly effective cleaner which removes body oils and dirt from both the fabric and the down fill. It also restores the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) of both the outer fabric and the down. This protects against rain and condensation, preventing the item from wetting out and maintaining the natural insulating properties of down. Additionally it revives breathability, allowing moisture vapour to pass through the item, optimizing performance in cold and damp conditions.
Nikwax Down Wash Direct prolongs the effective life of your down gear. It is the safe way to thoroughly clean your down clothing and equipment. Sleeping bags and very large jackets are best hand washed in a bath or equivalent and then spin dried in a washing machine.
Use neat Down Wash Direct to treat stubborn stains before washing. Remove all non-washable parts. Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions. Do not use conventional detergents.
Hand wash sleeping bags or wash in a professional machine.
If washing in a professional washing machine:
1. Use a front-loading washing machine only.
2. Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser.
3. Place maximum 2 items in washing machine.
4. Add 100 ml.
5. Wash according to care label, preferably on low setting and slow spin.
6. After the washing cycle has finished run multiple spin cycles, each time incrementally increasing the spin speed, to remove excess water.

GETTING THAT GOOD STUFF
The quilt stores best in our Side Entry Pod. It's made with 100% waterproof Dyneema fabric and the pod shape is designed to optimize your pack space.
- Gently pack your QUILT, toe box first, completely into the stuff sack leaving empty space near the opening (2-3 inches).
- Compress the stuff sack while pinching the top opening together.
- Fold the reinforced edge over (2-3 times) and clip the two buckles.
Note: Take preventative measures to keep your quilt dry at all times. The down insulation performs best when dry and uncompressed.

STEP O3
CONSTANTLY ON THE MOVE
The sleeping pad straps keep the QUILT in place while you sleep so you stay nice and cozy.
Clip one side of the strap to the QUILT, wrap the strap under your sleeping pad and connect the remaining clip to the opposite side of the QUILT.
Each sleeping pad strap can be attached at different points on the QUILT for the perfect setup.
