Updated review after using it on a trip.

Great bag. Perfect size for my needs. I like the hidden pocket inside too.

LOVE that the straps are removable for when I attach it to my backpack hip belt. I initially thought they weren’t removable but that was just my mistake. The hip belt opening was the selling point of this bag for me.

The bag is made of waterproof material but won’t keep your stuff dry if submerged. There’s a tiny gap where zippers meet so I don’t think it should be advertised as waterproof. Taking off a star for that.

Good pack

Just wish it had mesh pocket on the front for a phone but otherwise it’s a good pack

Big fan of Hyperlite gear but the zipper on this is just very poor.

Perhaps it's because the zipper teeth are so small, i'm not sure but the two sides of the zip can disengage extraordinarily easily...with two zipper pulls, each nicely equipped with an orange draw-string, it's relatively easy to force the zipper back and reengage it but this will eventually lead to wear on the zipper teeth and and i would fear that eventually the zipper simply won't work and will need replacing. Whether that happens or not it's not acceptable as one could obviously lose things due to unnoticed, unwanted zipper opening.

A secondary issue that is not a criticism, just advice to other buyers: don't buy the white one, it gets very grubby, very quickly.
