    Fun Experience!

The Splash Bivy is ultralight and has a fast pitch, especially with some practice. I do a lot of desert hiking, and the Splash Bivy allows for a beautiful view of the night stars. It is roomy and comfortable inside and easy to get in and out of. If you’re looking for a lightweight, fast-pitch, bug-free, beautiful view of the night sky, I would consider the Splash Bivy by Hyperlite.

A light and well designed bivy

I have always wanted a bivy and this looks ideal; so well thought out. I like the minimal weight, the economy of the space. I like the position of the suspension loops and I like the design of the mesh panels and opening. It’s carefully considered and constructed.

It will be an emergency shelter for an upcoming Camino. But first it’s heading to Australia for a few days in the backcountry.

    Great bivy

This bivy came along for what was going to be a CDT thru hike, but ended up being Montana and Wyoming. It will tag along when I finish the CDT next year. It's lightweight and breathable with a large net space. I've added another string to the string above the head to make it a bit longer - but I love this bivy. Enough space for my backpack to go at my feet at night and a Katabatic quilt. I've been using bivies since 2019 (I love camping under the sky but bug-free), and thru hiked the PCT in 2023 with a different brand - and after switching to Hyperlite I've been extremely happy. Packs up small and I love both the net space to see the sky, as well as the water proof bottom. I pair it with a pyramid tarp if/when it rains or snows.

    Works very well

I had some few nights with it. So far very good. One of the nights it was pouring down rain. I was sleeping in a puddle, but it worked well.
