Holds multiple clothing layers, which is one of the more important features for me.
The laptop sleeve is perfect for holding my snack collection.
The large outside pocket is great for quickly stashing and grabbing trekking poles! I’m hiking the ADK high peaks currently, and the crazy transitions between rock scrambles and regular hiking is frequent.
Things I wish it had, but are far from a dealbreaker for me:
1. Nice, large hip pockets that can hold an iPhone and headlamp. It’s so great to be able to grab or stash each of these without having to swing the pack around and dig. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the shoulder pocket add-on options.
2. Another pocket or 2 inside the pack to hold the collection of necessities that you should always have with you, but probably never need to use. I just tossed them in a ziplock bag and they’re hanging out on the bottom on the pack right now, but it’d be super cool if there was a bonus pouch right underneath the laptop sleeve where these could live, maybe with a magnetic closure.
Still the best daypack I’ve ever used!
