Chlorine dioxide is generated when the Aquamira® Water Treatment comes in contact with water. Chlorine dioxide has been used by municipal water treatment plants to kill a variety of waterborne pathogens since the late 1940s. Great to always carry

I always carry these drops. I use them as a secondary cleanser when I come upon a really uncertain water source. I actually find too, that in cases where the water tastes funky, using these makes it taste more like normal tap water. (Although some users report not liking the taste it leaves) I've never had a problem with it.. It's great to have these, because if used properly these can kill viruses too. Generally, you need to wait 4 hours for it to knock out some of the really tough ones, so you definitely need to plan accordingly if that's what you're hoping to achieve. But normal bacteria etc is generally killed within 15 mins according to their specs. These are just a great thing to carry, even if you're not using as your main filtration. I always like having a solid backup and these drops are my go to.
