I've had the UB 2 for a little over a year and have used it in Oregon for simple one or two-night outings, but I just returned from a five-night backpacking trip in the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area in Wyoming and used it for that trip. The tent is fantastic. A few things to note - one night at 10,350 feet, we had a big wind storm. The tent did great, although the fabric was loud. I was using my Leki poles on it, and everything held up OK, though there were gusts where I wasn't sure it would!
The other important aspect of the tent is staking it down well. I use the stakes from HMG, and they are very strong. I kept wondering how this tent would work if I were in an area where staking wasn't really an option, and I'm not totally sure how it would be set up well (rocks inside in the corners, maybe?). But staking it down is key.
I love the guy wires and how they work—there are no more double-half hitch knots for tensioning the ropes.
Also, it took me a bit to realize that the zippers on the outer ten flaps could be opened from the top to provide more ventilation, but they work great.
Overall, it is a great tent in my experience so far.
