A standard feature on our larger packs, the adjustable Sternum Strap is also a great addition to the Stuff Pack or Summit Pack. The strap is available in two widths: The 3/4" strap fits all Hyperlite Mountain Gear packs and has self-tensioning elastic for comfort, while the 5/8" strap is specifically designed for the Elevate, Unbound, Waypoint, and Contour packs. Both options feature adjustable webbing and side release buckles with a whistle for safety.

    A must-have accessory

    Having used my Hyperlite bag both with and without the sternum strap, I can say that this is definitely part of my standard hiking kit now. But if I ever decided I no longer wanted to use it (unlikely), the sternum strap is easily removable and reattach-able depending on preference. Great product!
