I’ve used this once for a period of 3 days (with many more planned for the future). For this instance, this was just used purely for regular camping. A small footprint, a quick setup, and minimal “baggage” was my goal. It was extremely easy to set up with enough space for me and my dog, a dachshund mix. Actual set up time was about 3-4 mins with an additional 2-3 for adjustments. It was my first time setting up a tent like this, but it’s very simple and straightforward. I was able to fit a Large Kilos Gear Aerocloud sleeping pad. I’m only 5’3” as well as a lefty, so this tent is perfect for me. With the entrance on the left side, I scoot my sleeping pad away from it to the right when entering/exiting to have room to step. I scoot it more towards the door and down; the optimal position for laying down, so my head doesn’t touch the tent when getting up. Regardless of placement, you sacrifice some comfort with a smaller tent like this for portability and lighter weight. I knew exactly what I was getting into when purchasing, so just be aware of certain “gripes” people talk about and take it with a grain of salt. The ventilation was fine for me for the days I camped and it never seemed to get stuffy nor did I experience any condensation (though it could happen with the right conditions). Overall, I’m glad I got this tent so it can fit in my backpack and I can camp anywhere in the world and experience the beauty of the outdoors.
