These are a great stake, easy on cold fingers, good ground purchase - BUT I have had issues with the tips coming off and staying in the ground. A real pain. Have had success replacing due to my freindly dealer here in Melbourne but keen for HMG to improve on this design flaw which a number of others have identified also. My temp fix is to glue them in with epoxy.

2 of the stakes did not have the tips 1 a 3rd stake the tip was loose so 3 of 8 and were not usable. Called numerous times no answer finally got through the agent said he would send out another set of stakes and that i could keep the broken set. Waited a week nothing happened called numerous times finally got through another agent said that he could only refund me but I could keep the broken set of stakes. I don't recommend these stakes get some other reputable brand that is a solid 1 piece stake.
They drive in easily and hold well so that is all you can ask of your tent stakes.
